Oil Tank Scanning Reports & Certification

During property transactions, mortgage renewals, or when securing home insurance, you may be asked to provide an “Oil Tank Scan Report,” an “Oil Tank Scan Certificate,” or documentation confirming the absence of an oil tank on the property.

If you are in the process of purchasing a property, it’s crucial to obtain a current scanning certificate or report from the seller. If this isn’t available, we recommend arranging your own scan for peace of mind.

Even if you are a current property owner and not planning to sell, proactively checking for any existing oil tanks is a prudent step. This helps ensure there are no potential environmental concerns and prepares you for any future inquiries. This is particularly relevant for homes built between 1910 and 1970.

West Coast Tank Recovery offers oil tank scanning and certification services to assist you with this. Scheduling a scan is easy and can typically be accommodated within 1-2 days. Once you contact us to book an appointment, we will send you a pre-invoice for online payment. Following the scan, you will receive your oil tank detection certificate via email, often on the same day the scan is completed.

Although our technicians have years of scanning experience, each property is different. It is important to note that scanning services are rarely 100% conclusive, and as such results are not guaranteed.
